DWP has provided details of Universal Credit roll out

The DWP has confirmed the details of the areas to which universal credit will roll-out between September 2015 and April 2016. The publication of SI.No.1537/2015, provides the legislative base for the further roll-out of the new benefit in respect of new claims from single people, the DWP has confirmed ‘go live’ dates in local authority areas across Wales as follows –

21st September 2015: Anglesey / Merthyr Tydfil / Monmouthshire

26th October 2015: Blaenau Gwent / Carmarthenshire / Gwynedd / Powys.

9th November 2015: Ceredigion / Pembrokeshire

30th November 2015: Cardiff

22nd February 2016: Vale of Glamorgan

21st March 2016: Rhondda Cynon Taf
